OUR MISSION : Whether you want to learn how to swing dance, are preparing for your wedding dance, or are looking for entertainment at your next event, you've come to the right place. Our mission at Hop Swing is to share the "joie de vivre" that has characterized swing dancing since the beginning, while offering high-quality instruction and performances. Through our services, our quest is also to inspire social and competitive qualities such as respect, communication, self-confidence, accomplishment and teamwork.

In 1997, we started offering our services in New York City, the birthplace of Lindy Hop. We are now making New Orleans, the birthplace of Jazz, our second home. Our success in achieving our mission can be measured not only by the extensive list of credits our staff has earned, but in the popularity of Hop Swing in New York City and the rest of the world. We have taught thousands of people worldwide. Some of our students found their life partners in our classes and others have gone on to win championships of their own and to spread the joy of swing dance in their own communities.

IN OUR LESSONS , our goal is to offer expert instruction in a fun, accepting environment. Your individual progress as a dancer matters to us, but so does your enjoyment. Swing dancing is a great way to meet new people, enjoy good music and get exercise -- all at the same time. We fell in love with it, and we hope you do, too.

AT YOUR EVENT , our professional dancers will thrill your guests with gravity-defying performances, adding to the festive atmosphere with authentic clothing, music and dance styles from the 1920s to the 1950s. In addition to performances and lessons, we can also provide social dancers to mingle and dance with your guests, helping spread the fun to everyone.
